ASSISTANT DINGHY INSTRUCTOR
2 days (0930hrs to 1630hrs) Minumum age 14. This course meets the needs of experienced sailors who wish to take the first steps to becoming an RYA Dinghy Instructor. Sailors must satisfy the Principal they can meet the sailing standards (Stage 4 + an advanced skills course or RYA Level 2). Dates to be arranged
DINGHY INSTRUCTOR PRE-ASSESSMENT
1 day (0930hrs to 1630hrs) Assessment of practical sailing skills is required for the RYA Dinghy Instructor Course. Dates arranged as required.
RYA DINGHY INSTRUCTOR
5 days plus one assessment day This demanding and enjoyable course provides the skills necessary to teach both adult and junior sailors as beginners or improvers. It is followed by a day’s assessment by another coach/assessor. Potential applicants will need to satisfy the Centre that they hold the following: pre-entry assessment, RYA Power Boat level two, a valid First Aid certificate and membership of the RYA.
RYA POWERBOAT INSTRUCTOR 3 days Participants will need to hold RYA Powerboat level 2, VHF Radio and a valid First Aid certificate and membership of the RYA.
RYA SAFETY BOAT CERTIFICATE
2 Days (0930hrs to 1630hrs) Participants will need to hold RYA Powerboat level 2 and have a minimum of one year’s helming experience. Dates arranged as required.
